I'm a Childcare Provider in
Jefferson County...
As a licensed in-home child care provider, you
have been licensed by the state of Colorado to provide a needed
childcare service for your community. If you are new to
this profession, WELCOME. The next thing running through
your mind may sound like this, "Now that I'm licensed, and have
met all of the requirements to do so, how do I establish a client
base?" Well, in Jefferson County we (the providers in Jefferson
County) have created an association in which a licensed provider
join. One of the benefits of being a association member
is that you may have clients referred to you. Below you
will find a list of benefits of being an association member.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS:
-
You will be entered into a referral database
of childcare providers in your area. The database includes,
where you are, your current number of positions open. This
includes infant, child, and before/after school, positions.
-
You'll be encouraged to attend our association
meetings. At these meetings we cover our association
finances, and provide you with class hours (required to maintain
your license). The classes are very helpful with working
with children in the home childcare setting. Get 10
hours of re-certification hours - FREE workshops each year
at the association meetings.
-
Professionals are often brought in to present
materials presented in classes.
-
You have the opportunity to talk with people
in your own profession. Especially for a new provider
this is a great way to meet other providers and to see what
has worked and what hasn't worked for other providers regarding
many of the business aspects of operating your business.
-
You're kept informed with what's happening at
the legislative levels of our businesses and have a voice
in what is happening with regulations that govern our business.
-
Information is sent to you in the form of a monthly
news letter (The Bear Facts). This news letter includes:
the time and place of our next meeting, the theme of the
next meeting (the class being offered). Monthly craft
ideas, field trips, upcoming events throughout the metro
area related to childcare.
-
JCCCA will provide you an up to date referral list including
names and phone numbers. This information is always in The Open
Door news letter.
