What It Takes Conference

Join Jefferson County Child Care Association (JCCCA) on Saturday, March 7th in Arvada, CO  for the 2026 “What It Takes!” early childhood education conference.  This will be a day of camaraderie, networking, learning, and fun with speaker and author Kim Bevill, Gray Matters.


Kim is an outspoken speaker who researches neuroscience and its implications for work and life. She is an adjunct instructor for continuing education in graduate and professional studies. Kim has spent the past two decades studying the research underlying biological differences in the male and female brain, the lost behaviors of mental health, and how to undo the effects of stress on DNA and is the author of eight books.

Online and mail-in registration are now open. 


Registration fees are staying at the 2025 rates thanks to funding from Colorado Gives Foundation.  $75 Register by February 21 and pay by check or Zelle.


We expect the conference to fill up, so register & pay early. 7 hours continuing education including 3 hours of Social Emotional. Vendors ~ Door Prizes ~ Resources


Date & Time:   Saturday, March 7, 2026  8:00 am-4:30 pm (doors open at 7:30 am with welcome at 8:20 am)

Location: Apex Community Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO 80003.
